The 1985 Houston Open was moved to the Houston Brookhollow Marriott Hotel, on Hwy 290 just off the 610 North Loop West.
This venue was used for many years, although Friday evening traffic was terrible at this extremely busy highway junction.
HDA Officers officially in charge of organizing & running the event were listed on the flyer, but all of these tournaments required many long hours of work by numerous HDA member volunteers.

This darts tournament, like all of the Houston Open Tournaments, was Officially Sanctioned by the American Darts Organization (ADO). That allowed winners to earn national ADO Ranking Points and was instrumental in bringing many well-known national & international professional darters to our Houston events.
